Enterprise Resource Planning Intelligroup to step up ERP, infrastructure services V. Rishi Kumar Hyderabad, July 21 Technology services provider Intelligroup Asia is in the process of consolidating its operations and adding presence in Canada. The company’s major thrust has been on infrastructure management services, SAP upgrades and Oracle R12 update implementation services. Rated amongst the three biggest turnaround cases by the 2008 Black Book of Outsourcing, Intelligroup was the only mid-sized business in the list, according to Mr Vikarm V. Gulati, President and Chief Executive Officer of Intelligroup. Speaking to Business Line, Mr Gulati said that the company, which has main focus on ERP (enterprise resource planning) implementation, has developed solution accelerators that help in faster deployment and updates. “Clearly, Intelligroup has taken lead in implementing Oracle R12 updates and already has five implementations. We believe this is one area we have made inroads in, mainly due to Uptimizers — developed internally. These help in quick deployment of updates, a rapidly expanding market in the tech sector,” Mr Gulati said. Intelligroup is stepping up business in Canada market with relatively stable dollar rates. The company would continue to focus on the US and Europe. About 25 per cent of the work is onsite and the rest 75 per cent is handled offshore. “Infrastructure management services, knowledge process outsourcing and business intelligence have been three broad areas witness to growth over the last few quarters. Most customers we are engaged with see value in Intelligroup providing end-to-end services,” he said. The company, which has about 2,500 resources globally, registered revenues of $145 million in 2007 and $38 million in the first quarter this fiscal. Of them, 1,800 employees are based out of India, Mr Gulati said. The company added 42 customers globally in the last quarter.
