Brigade Enterprises to develop IT SEZ project in Kerala

Kochi, Sept. 10 The Bangalore-based realty developer Brigade Enterprises Ltd has entered the Kerala market with an IT SEZ project. The ground breaking ceremony of its IT SEZ at the Kochi Info Park was held on Wednesday.

Brigade had bagged the tender to co-develop five acres in Kochi to develop about 6 lakh sq.ft IT SEZ space. The project will be co-developed with Info Park Kochi. The project is expected to be completed in about 2 years.

Luxury resort

Mr M.R. Jaishankar, Chairman and Managing Director, Brigade Enterprises Ltd, said Kerala is a very promising market and the company also has plans to start a luxury island resort of international standards near Kochi.

The company, with over 100 buildings in residential, commercial and hospitality sector, is developing two integrated lifestyle enclaves, 12 residential and two hospitality properties in Karnataka. Besides, it also has plans to expand its operations to Chennai, Hyderabad, Mangalore and Chickmagalur.
