Eco award for Tata Chemicals

Mumbai, June 29

Tata Chemicals has won the Bombay Chamber Civic Awards 2008-09 prize under the Sustainable Environmental Initiatives category for its entry ‘Water management in a drought-prone area’. The award was presented by Mr Adi Godrej, Chairman, Godrej Group. TCL’s initiative was adjudged winner among all the entries for its consistent, substantial and efforts in the area of water management. The Bombay Chamber Civic Awards is an annual event initiated by the Bomba y Chamber of Commerce and Industry to recognise and encourage the consistent efforts made by a corporate to improve environmental, social and cultural. The prime objectives are to promote an active social, environmental and civic conscience among member organisations and to recognise and reward best practices in environment. —
