Info-Tech - IT Training
Teknoturf to open finishing school

L.N. Revathy

Coimbatore, July 5 Teknoturf Info Services Private Ltd is all set to launch the Teknoturf School of Computing — an IT finishing school here on July 6.

Mr C.R. Vengatesh, Managing Director, Teknoturf, said the vision of the computing school “is to ignite young minds and through a creative process mould them into complete professionals”.

Mr R. Narayanan, Principal Advisor, Teknoturf School of Computing, said “Getting the right resources at the entry level and making them productive professionals has been a challenge faced by IT companies. This school of computing would aim to bridge the gap by taking the pain points of the industry and the gap in the academia.”

According to him, the lack of technical and professional skills in fresh graduates and the industry’s focus shifting from recruiting employment-ready candidates to deployment-ready ones gave room for tertiary institutes such as ‘finishing school’.

Hesaid that the industry invariably found candidates in select streams more theoretical, while some others were technically strong. He stressed the need for a scalable and industry ready programme.
