French car-maker Renault has launched a new edition of its Multi-Purpose Vehicle — the Lodgy. The new Lodgy Stepway edition is said to have 16 new enhancements, while it is powered by the same K9K 1.5 litre diesel engine. Two new colours — Slate Grey and Fiery Red — have been added to the existing four that the vehicle was available in.

The engine is available in two variants — 85PS and 110PS, delivering a maximum torque of 200Nm at 1900 rpm and 245Nm at 1750 rpm respectively. Renault claims a mileage of 21.04 kmpl for the 85PS variant and 19.98 kmpl for the 110PS variant. The Stepway edition sees a revamp in the interiors as the dashboard gets a touch of chrome and a two-tone finish. The seats get Gris Fume and Beige Alpaga leather-blended upholstery.

The exteriors get premium embellishments, with a jewel-studded front grill and a chrome-finish skid plate. The driver’s door gets a Stepway decal and the vehicle also gets dark roof rails, giving it a sporty look. The R16 Panache alloy wheels on this one give it a chunky feel.

The new version also gets more features, such as the second and third row Air-conditioning, 12V charging sockets in all three rows, a gear shift indicator, rear parking sensors and camera, and an on-board trip computer that measures average fuel economy, distance to empty, average speed, etc.

The Lodgy Stepway gets driver and co-driver airbags, ABS, EBD and brake assist, and the engine is equipped with cruise control with speed limiter.

The MPV is available in five variants, starting at an ex-showroom (Delhi) price of ₹9.4 lakh.
