Maruti Suzuki has announced that dual airbags and ABS are now available as an option across all Celerio variants, including the base version.
“By offering safety features like airbags for driver and co-driver, and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) from the base variant onwards in Celerio, we are making it more attractive for customers.,” said R S Kalsi, Executive Director of Marketing and Sales at Maruti Suzuki.
Launched in 2014, Celerio was the first car in India to be equipped with Auto Gear Shift (AGS) technology. The AGS system acts like an automatic transmission but does not increase fuel consumption as much as a traditional clutchless system.
The upgraded Celerio is now on sale with prices starting at ₹5,19,423 (ex-showroom Delhi).
