Pragati Maidan may no longer be home to the world of beautiful cars and bikes or the tough trucks and buses. However, it will continue to be the umbrella for auto component makers as was the case two years ago. At one level, this split in venue makes sense to ensure a far more focused audience. During the heady days of Pragati, visitors would make a beeline for the vehicle stalls and the component industry was generally perceived to be the unimportant sibling. No longer is this the case and ancillary suppliers were pretty pleased with the quality turnout in 2014. Some of them were, however, sore that they were missing out on all the action in Greater Noida.
