A fruit vendor arranging sweet lemons at a primary wholesale market in Chennai. Depending on its size, a basket of 1000 pieces currently costs about Rs 2,000-2,500 at the retail level. During the peak season, the fruit prices may even decline to Rs 1,000 per basket.
