MUMBAI, Dec. 16

BALAJI Telefilms has entered into a MoU for assignment of rights of its library of Hindi serials with an Indonesian company, PT Menara Media Sakti, for Rs 1.5 crore ($300,000).

The company has informed BSE that the assignment of rights will be restricted to one time telecast plus one natural repeat on satellite/terrestrial channel(s) beaming in Indonesia only. Subsequently, the rights will revert to the company.

This was a significant development in terms of the company's initiative to exploit its software library internationally and would improve the profitability of the company, said its notice to BSE.
