New Delhi , Aug. 1

APTECH Ltd has announced a three-fold growth in net profit for the second quarter ended June 30 at Rs 3.11 crore over Rs 1.06 crore in the corresponding previous period.

Following the acquisition of SSI's education business on April 1, financial results for the training and education business of both companies are combined, Aptech said in a statement.

Total income went up by 20 per cent to Rs 104.13 crore from Rs 86.65 crore earlier.

Commenting on the performance, Mr Pramod Khera, CEO and Managing Director, said: "The integration process with SSI's education business has been carried out smoothly. We are now completely geared as a combined entity to explore opportunities in the IT training and education space."

The integration with SSI's training business had also resulted in significant cost efficiencies, the company said. "The acquisition of SSI's training business provides us with a further diversified product portfolio that would enable us to address new segments," Mr Khera said.

The Aptech-SSI combine has a network of 3,208 centres with operations in 52 countries.
