`Make tourism a mass movement'

New Delhi , Sept. 27

THE PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) has suggested the adoption of a five-point strategy which includes greater private-public sector partnership in marketing and infrastructure development, theme-based tourism promotion and time-bound implementation plans so as to make tourism an important catalyst in bringing about economic growth.

The suggestions are based on the interaction the chamber had with the State Governments of Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Punjab and Rajasthan.
