People Dubey, new ED for MTNL Mumbai Our Bureau
Mumbai , Oct. 15 MAHANAGAR Telephone Nigam Ltd, Mumbai, is going to be headed by a new Executive Director, Mr R.L. Dubey. Mr Dubey had only recently been posted as Executive Director of MTNL at Delhi but has been asked to take charge of Mumbai following the sudden demise last week of the Mumbai ED, Mr I.C. Srivastava. Before his posting as ED, Delhi, Mr Dubey was Principal General Manager with BSNL, heading the Pune office in Maharashtra. According to MTNL officials, Mr Dubey has the reputation in BSNL of changing employees' attitude at work and is known to be keenly proactive and aggressive on the marketing front as well. His HR achievements at BSNL in Pune, in getting PSU employees to be more customer-friendly, were presented as case studies for emulation by other BSNL circles, said a senior BSNL official. Officers of BSNL and MTNL are not employees of the corporates but are employees of the Department of Telecommunications and can be sent on deputation from one to the other.
