MANAGEMANTRA, the placement fair, to be held on December 23 and 24, is expected to draw 150 teams of management students from the four southern States.

This is the second edition of the recruitment event organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and is expected to attract more companies than the previous one held earlier this year.

Mr P.K. Mohapatra, Chairman, Education Sub Committee, CII (SR), said that more than 100 small and medium enterprises were also being invited to the event.

The first Managemantra was organised in January at the State level with over 30 colleges and 25 companies participating. This year the event is being organised at a regional level.

Mr Mohapatra said that CII's objective was to bring together industry and institutes on a common platform.

Besides this, CII also organises missions of college faculties to companies to understand best practices and also for the placement of faculty at member industries for sabbaticals. The programme will be held at the Central Lecture Theatre at IIT Madras.
