Kochi , Dec. 9

THE Seventh World Spice Congress 2004 will be held in Hyderabad from January 29 to January 31.

The event, which will be of vital significance to the global spices trade, is designed to bring a new focus on spice marketing.

The business sessions, integral to the event, would look beyond the traditional and known uses of spices and explore the potential for various emerging non-conventional applications, Mr C.J. Jose, Chairman, Spices Board and Mr Ram Kumar Menon, Chairman, All India Spices Exporters Forum, said.

An exhibition would be held concurrently along with the Congress. Over 100 delegates from abroad are expected to participate, a board official added.
