Intel offers Net on board train

New Delhi , Jan. 13

INTEL today announced the country's first-ever Internet access service on board a running train.

The company has tied up with the Railways for providing the service on seven Shatabdi Express trains originating from Delhi. It has taken over one coach with a demonstration area displaying the company's latest products and eight workstations where passengers can browse the Net free of charge.

The service would be available on the premium Shatabdi trains bound for Kalka, Dehradun, Amritsar, Ajmer and Bhopal. Kalka and Amritsar have two pairs of Shatabdi trains each originating from Delhi.

The promotional exercise will continue till January 28 after which the company would decide on whether to extend it.
