Compliments for Corpn Bank

MANGALORE: The Executive Director of Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Ms Shyamala Gopinath, has appreciated Corporation Bank for winning international laurels.

According to a press release here, she said the credit for winning the laurels should go to human resource of the bank.

Ms Gopinath exhorted the bank to get prepared for Basle II compliance. The Regional Director of RBI, Bangalore, Ms Devaki Muthukrishna, who was present, said that the bank should achieve its centenary vision without much difficulty, and complimented it as one of the well-organised banks in the country.

The Chairman and Managing Director of Corporation Bank, Mr Cherian Varghese, welcomed the gathering.
