MobiApps bags BMTC order

BANGALORE: MobiApps, a provider of hybrid, terrestrial and satellite technologies for industrial communications along with Advanced Micronic Devices Ltd (AMDL), a supplier of equipment and solutions based on the Global Positioning System, has bagged an order from Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Company (BMTC) to track 1,400 of their buses.

BMTC is the first road transport corporation to implement such a project in the country and the project would be commissioned within the next four months.

As part of the deal MobiApps with AMDL will establish a control centre and install GPS-based vehicle tracking systems in the BMTC vehicles and operate on a build own transfer basis for a period of six years.
