Announcements Veronica Labs to launch ayurvedic AIDS drug soon Our Bureau
Mumbai , Feb. 27 VERONICA Laboratories Ltd on Friday said it had started commercial production of Herbovera, its ayurvedic formulation for HIV patients. The company expects to launch the product across the country by the second quarter of this year, by which time it would have produced its first consignment. Meanwhile, top-end machinery for the purpose is being installed at its facility in Rabale, Navi Mumbai, the company told BSE here on Friday. With initial results of the clinical trials being encouraging, the company has embarked on multi-centric trials at various premier medical institutes throughout the country. Further, the company points out that Herbovera has been found to nullify the loss of immunity observed in HIV positive patients, besides blunting their susceptibility to opportunistic infections. Efforts are being made to get international patents in due course of time, it added.
