Global fiscal body opens Hyderabad chapter

Hyderabad , March 11

THE Indian branch of the Netherlands-based International Fiscal Association (IFA), a forum for discussing international tax issues, has announced the expansion of its activities in the country by opening its Sub-Chapter at Hyderabad.

Disclosing this at a press conference here on Thursday, the Chairman of the newly formed Sub-Chapter, Mr P.V.S.S. Prasad, said to mark the formal inauguration of the Sub-Chapter, a technical talk on `Understanding Double Taxation Avoidance Agreements' is being organised on Friday at the premises of the Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FAPCCI) here.

According to the Sub-Chapter's Vice-Chairman, Mr M.V. Purushottama Rao, the body would discuss and disseminate knowledge on international tax matters, encourage academic and scholarship achievements in the field of international tax, foster relationships between tax professionals on a worldwide basis and support the work of the IFA.
