Our Bureau

Mumbai , May 6

THE Mahindra United World College of India (Mahindra UWC) will host a series of conferences titled `Challenges and Opportunities in South Asia: A Youth Perspective,' under the aegis of the Youth Initiative for Peace (YIP).

According to a statement here, the conference, to be held between June 20 and July 1, will explore relations between India and Pakistan. It will carry forward the work of the YIP, which had organised a similar conference in Lahore last year.

The Pune conference expects to establish "a network of change agents in these countries" and will cover the gamut of Indo-Pak relations.

Forty participants between the ages of 16 and 21 will be selected from both India and Pakistan to attend the 10-day conference.

Mahindra UWC and YIP have invited applications from participants keen to attend the conference. The applications, which can be accessed at www.geocities.com/youthifp.india, should be mailed by May 10.
