Tata Indicom arrives in Lanka

NEW DELHI: VSNL Lanka Ltd (VLL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd (VSNL), has launched the Tata Indicom brand in the Sri Lankan market for its telecom voice and data services.

VLL announced that it has commenced the carriage international calls to and from Sri Lanka. VLL has also launched its international private-leased circuits (IPLCs). Within Sri Lanka, VLL has signed interconnect agreements with operators such as Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT), Suntel, MTN (Dialog), Lanka Bell and Celltell Lanka, says a company release.
