Jobstreet.com India revamps Web site

Anjali Prayag

Bangalore , June 17

`RELAX, the job you want is here,' says the home page of the revamped Jobstreet.com Web site.

Talking about the new look for the Web site, Mr N. Muralidharan, Managing Director, Jobstreet.com India, told Business Line, "We have initiated these changes after constant interaction with our users ."

Now the entire process of job hunting was more streamlined and focussed, offering value-added services to the end-user, he said. For instance, the job hunter is updated on information about his job application status: whether it has been processed and sent, how many people have received it, etc.

"An applicant also gets an idea of the kind of jobs he can apply for. If he has applied for a certain job, we give him other jobs that people with his profile have applied for. This is useful for the applicant as well as the company," said Mr Muralidharan. This feature also activates passive job seekers to put up their resumes on the site.

Some of the new features of the revamped site are a simplified registration process, account and career management process.
