Sivaganga credit plan outlay

MADURAI: The annual credit plan for Sivaganga district envisages a plan outlay of Rs 280 crore for 2004-05.

The agriculture sector's share in the allocation is 48 per cent, followed by the services sector with 45.8 per cent. The small-scale and tiny industries sector has been allocated a sum of Rs 16.69 crore.

Releasing the plan, the District Collector, Mr Anand Patil, suggested that lending agencies should concentrate more on cotton and small-scale industries and also the self-help groups to raise their status.
