Opinion - Letters

A partial report

It is poignant for stock market die-hards to note that only 3 per cent of the total financial savings of the household sector was in stocks and bonds in 2000-01.

The idea, perpetrated by many growth-economists and analysts (including the present Finance Minister), that the stock market is definitely a reflection of the health of an economy is absurd and baseless.
