Registrars Association elects new Chairman

THE Registrars Association of India (RAIN) has elected Mr M.V. Ramnarayan, Intime Spectrum Registry, as its Chairman, according to a press release.

At its annual general meeting held recently, Mr V. Ganesh, Karvy Computershare, and Mr N.V.K. Mohan, Bigshare Services, were elected as the Vice-Chairman and Secretary, respectively. The other members are Mr Arun Bose, ITC, and Mr I. Joseph, UTI Investor Services. RAIN is the representative body of securities' registrars and share transfer agents in India. It has over 40 members comprising all the leading registrars in India, besides companies such as HDFC, Citibank and ITC which carry out their share registry functions in-house.
