ICFAI introduces MCA programme under distance-learning

ICFAI University, an institution sponsored by the Hyderabad-based Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts (ICFAI), has introduced Master of Computer Application (MCA) programme under its distance-learning scheme.
ICFAI, which has set up private universities in Chhattisgarh and Uttaranchal following the two States passing legislation permitting the operation of such an institution, already conducts distance education programme in Chartered Financial Analyst, MBA and MS in insurance.
Announcing the launch of the two-year MCA programme here on Thursday, Mr B.S. Balaji, Regional Manager (South), said the programme, slated to begin in November, is designed to provide a portfolio of functional skills and the ability to apply, adapt and integrate information technology into any business setting.
ICFAI University, which has been on expansion mode, would be setting up full-fledged branches in Koramangala, Indiranagar and the Electronic City in Bangalore. In Karnataka, it plans to expand its network in Tumkur, Shimoga, Chikmagalur and Hassan, Mr Balaji said.
