Kochi , Aug. 13

THE Cochin Chamber of Commerce and Industry on behalf of the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), New Delhi, organised a presentation on the India International Trade Fair 2004 here on Friday.

The 24th edition of ITPO's annual magnum opus India International Trade Fair to be held from November 14 to 27 will feature agriculture and information technology as its central theme. Like in the previous years, the central theme will figure prominently in special sections of the fair as well as form the under current of the display in the pavilions of the States and union territories. The overseas projection at the fair already promises to be a show of might with China participating with the coveted partner country status. Likewise, Brazil will be participating as the focus country. Other countries to have confirmed participation so far include Bangladesh, Syria, Pakistan, Thailand, Korea, Iran, Turkey and Tunisia.

Apart from the theme, the fair will feature the traditional special displays of Techmart, Buildtech, Saras (Indian handicraft show) and Good Living. The display canvas at the fair will cover a wide range of products and services related to engineering, automobiles, electronics, drugs and pharmaceuticals and other sectors.
