CII-AP to hold HR programme

The Confederation of Indian Industry, Andhra Pradesh (CII-AP) is organising a two-day management development programme on `Understanding strategy-human resources (HR) linkages for maximising HR's contribution to the overall performance of a firm' here.

The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIMC) is partnering with CII in organising the meet beginning on Friday. The meet would provide a perspective on strategic choices available to a firm for competitive success in the market place, a CII representative said.

"It would provide a framework for strategy execution and establish how the strategy-HR alignment is critical for high quality strategy execution," he said. The discussion would throw light on changing business environment and resulting risks and opportunities.

"The programme would also try to discuss an agenda for HR and strategy professionals," he added. Human resources have a larger scope. "It (HR) would act as an enabler. It has a role in capability development, spotting and rewarding talents."
