IA to hike flight frequency

Our Bureau

HYDERABAD: Keeping in mind the increasing rush, Indian Airlines is doubling the frequency on the Hyderabad-Tirupati-Hyderabad sector from two to four.

Beginning August 30, Airbus A 320 will fly on this sector on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

The flight IC 943 would depart Hyderabad at 11.30 a.m. and arrive at 12.25 p.m. In the return direction, IC 944 would leaves the temple town at 13.05 p.m. and arrives at Hyderabad 2 p.m., an Indian Airlines press release said.

The heavy demand for its promotional scheme in this sector seems to have encouraged the public sector carrier to increase the flight frequency. The promotional fare of Rs 2,180 is valid up to October 15. The fare is 36 per cent less than the normal fare of Rs 3,390.
