Luthra to head M&M arm

Our Bureau

MUMBAI: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (M&M) has informed the stock exchange that Mr Hemant Luthra, Executive Vice-President (Corporate Strategy), will head the newly formed Mahindra Systems & Automotive Technologies (MSAT) Sector.

Mr Luthra assumed responsibility as President of this sector on September 1.

The company said that the resurgence of the automotive industry has created yet another opportunity to strengthen its presence through an entry into the auto components space, the growth of which is being fuelled by both domestic and export demand.

"As a vertically integrated manufacturer, M&M plans to capitalise on both its own experience and skill and on India's inherent competitive advantage in this activity, through a series of initiatives,'' M&M told the exchange.
