Human Resources Karnataka Governor stresses interaction of university with industry Our Bureau
Mangalore , Sept. 12 THE Governor of Karnataka and Chancellor of Mangalore University, Mr T.N. Chaturvedi, has said that the interaction of the university with industry should open up opportunities for consultancy and placement. Inaugurating the silver jubilee celebration of Mangalore University here, he said that such interaction should give a boost to research of different kinds, benefiting both the university and the industry. Corporate sector should realise this advantage in larger perspective of its social responsibility. He termed the establishment of cooperation between Mangalore University and the industry as one of its outstanding achievements. Academic teams set up under the scheme have been interacting with their counterparts in the industry. The university has taken steps to establish contact in countries such as the US, the UK, Finland, Japan, Norway and Spain through exchange of scholars and students. He said the university has also kept abreast with frontline areas of research and new courses of study arising from social demands.
