A fruit vendor arranges apples at his kiosk in Kochi. Prices of apple have come down drastically as there is a glut in the market due to a bumper crop in Himachal Pradesh. There has not been much demand for fruits in the State since the Onam festival and the truckers' strike. Apples cost between Rs 20 and 40 per kg now.
