Hindustan Lever launches I-Shakti service in AP

HINDUSTAN Lever Ltd (HLL) has launched an Internet-based rural information service, called i-Shakti, in Andhra Pradesh, in association with the Andhra Pradesh Government's Rajiv Internet Village Programme.

The 250th i-Shakti kiosk was inaugurated on Wednesday by HLL's Executive Director, Mr Dalip Sehgal at Putapakka village of Nalgonda district. The service is now available in Nalgonda, Visakhapatnam, West Godavari and East Godavari districts. By the year-end, HLL hopes to cover 1000 i-Shakti kiosks across the State.
