Mumbai , Nov. 5

MTNL has been awarded the licence by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) to provide Wi-Fi services at Mumbai's domestic and international airports.

At the domestic and international airports in New Delhi, it is Tata Teleservices that has commercially launched Wi-Fi services.

MTNL is installing a modern Wi-Fi network at the airports with very high emphasis on security, according to a company release.

Passengers at the transit, departure or security lounges will be able to access the Internet using laptop or PDA through the MTNL Wi-Fi network, it added.

Customers can also choose from a variety of plans and billing options, including subscription, cash SMS top-up and credit or debit cards.

MTNL will also be providing Wi-Fi services at other hot-spot locations in Mumbai, including educational institutions, hotels, cafeterias, and to large corporates and SMEs, the release said.
