New Delhi , Nov. 12

THE annual wholesale price index-based inflation rate dipped to 7.06 per cent for the week ended October 30, from the previous week's level of 7.38 per cent. It was 5.55 per cent in the year-ago period.

During the latest reported week, the year-on-year inflation rate declined due to a high statistical base from a year ago, even as prices of food and manufactured products rose over the week, according to data released by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
