IT Training Wipro Infotech signs pact with Australian varsity Our Bureau
Bangalore , Nov. 16 WIPRO Infotech has signed a memorandum of understanding with Wollongong University, Australia to provide strategic direction for a partnership in information technology (IT) services. The University of Wollongong, established in 1951, is a multi-campus institution with 21,000 students. It has campuses in Sydney, Dubai and New South Wales. In addition, there are university education centres in Sydney and four other regional locations. The university also offers courses in conjunction with partner institutions in a number of offshore locations including Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong. The university has been recognised as a leader in the higher education in respect to educational experience, graduate outcomes, research intensity and in developing strong and responsive research and development partnerships. The university has leading research teams in areas such as information and communications technology, engineering and materials research and a range of areas in science, health and medical research. Mr Rajat Mathur, Vice-President, International Operations, Wipro Infotech, said, "Wipro and the University of Wollongong share a common commitment to excellence, leadership and innovation in all aspects of our activities. Recognising these common values, Wipro and the university agree to provide strategic direction for a partnership in the area of information technology services."
