New Products & Services Cotton apparels launched Our Bureau
KOCHI: Century Textiles on Tuesday launched its `Cottons By Century' brand of apparels in Kerala as part of the company's strategy to earn revenues of Rs 15 crore from the brand next fiscal. Mumbai-based Century, a 108-year old company, introduced the Cottons By Century range last year. It sells shirts, trousers, kurtas and winter wear under the brand. The women's and kids' range will be launched next year. The shirts are priced at Rs 495 to Rs 1,495 and trousers start at a price of Rs 795, Mr R. K. Dalmia, President of Century Textiles, said here at a press conference. "Kerala has become a very sophisticated market for merchandise and hence, we felt the priority of launching our production of cotton," he said. Mr Dalmia said the company's focus would be on garments in the future. When restrictions on the export quota is lifted from next year, Century Textiles expects to record a 10 per cent increase in its turnover of Rs 450 crore clocked last year.
