Auto Infotronics meet

CHENNAI: The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Society of Automotive Engineers (India) will jointly hold a conference on Automotive Infotronics in Chennai on December 10 and 11.

Between the inaugural address by Dr V. Krishnamurthy, Chairman of the National Manufacturing Competitiveness Council, and the valedictory address by Prof V.S. Ramamurthy, a number of eminent speakers are set to speak to the audience, Dr Aravind Bharadwaj, Chairman of the Conference, told presspersons here on Wednesday.

They include Prof S. Govindarajan, President, Ucal Fuel Systems Ltd, Prof Shekar Bansali, expert in nano technology from University of South Florida, USA, Prof V. Ganesan from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and Mr S. Mohammed Iqbal, President, Rane TRW Ltd.

The conference will essentially focus on the role of electronics in automobiles.
