RAYMOND Apparel Ltd has opened its first standalone store for its formal menswear brand, Park Avenue. The company is planning a series of exclusive brand stores for its apparel brands Parx and Manzoni.

The first exclusive store Park Avenue was inaugurated by Mr Gautam Singhania, Chairman and Managing Director, Raymond Group, at the upmarket shopping mall High Street Phoenix. Raymond Apparel is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Raymond group.

Apart from brand stores for its other apparel brands, Parx and Manzoni, it plans to launch six such exclusive Park Avenue stores across the country by the year-end in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Chennai.

"Raymond aims to acquire a dominant position in the apparel sector in the country. We believe that venturing into this new retail format for our apparel brands will give the right impetus to our growth plans by making our brands stronger,'' a news release said quoting Mr Singhania.

The store is intended to give Park Avenue consumers an exclusive brand experience of the new premium and contemporary positioning of the brand. The store will address varied needs such as businesswear, eveningwear and leisurewear.

The store will also stock the entire range of Park Avenue product offerings and accessories such as neckties, wallets and belts.
