INDIAN Airlines has introduced a `through-check-in' service for passengers from Tiruchi to its connecting flights from Chennai to Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bangalore.

The airline has introduced the service by linking the Tiruchi-Chennai flight (IC 968) with the respective morning flights from Chennai to the four metros, available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. While the passengers would get the boarding passes for both the flights at Tiruchi, they would have to undergo a security check at Chennai.

IC 968 being an international flight, the passengers would have to move to the Kamaraj Domestic Terminal for onward journey, it is learnt. In the return direction, the connecting service would also be available, on select days. The passengers would have to take IC 967 flight on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Also, they could take IC 993 on Tuesdays and IC 995 on Saturdays, the sources said.
