Mutual Funds ABN Amro IPO for Opportunities Fund Our Bureau
Mumbai , March 9 ABN Amro Asset Management's Opportunities Fund opened for its initial public offer on Wednesday. This open-ended equity fund will invest in scrips across market caps and sectors, company officials said. The initial public offer of the scheme will close on March 30. The scheme has the flexibility to actively shift portfolio concentration between different market capitalisation buckets. The scheme also retains the flexibility to hold more concentrated investments in a few sectors than diversified equity funds. ABN Amro Asset Management, which started its Indian operations actively last September, is also opening its sixth branch at Pune next month, said Mr Nikhil Johri, Chief Operating Officer. The focus sectors of this fund, for now, would be engineering and capital goods, construction, banking, metals and automobile and automobile ancillaries, according to Mr Mihir Vora, Head of Equities, ABN Amro AMC. Mr Vora is the fund manager for the scheme. The scheme offers growth and dividend options and charges an entry load of 2.25 per cent for investments less than Rs 5 crore.
