Hyderabad , May 11

AS part of a major restructuring exercise, Padmalaya Telefilms Ltd has rolled out a strategic business plan aimed at consolidating existing operations and synergistically enlarging their scope.

On the film production front, the company has decided to pursue a business model aimed at minimising risks and optimising production costs. The company plans three Hindi and two Telugu productions on tight time frames and budgets with novel promotional strategies and revenue models.

In a communication to the stock exchanges, the company said it is all set to start the production of a mega movie with Sunny Deol as hero in the current financial year. The release is expected in the last quarter of the financial year. Two more Hindi movies are on the cards with script, cast and schedules currently being finalised. Two Telugu movies are also in the pipeline, the company said.

The company has projected a turnover for the current financial year in the region of Rs 76.75 crore, spanning film production, distribution, exhibition, TV software and animation activities. The company said it hopes to substantially improve upon the turnover projections on the execution of 100-digital theatres project.
