Supply Chain Management Industry & Economy - SSI UPS Jetair Express unveils tech-based tools for SMEs Our Bureau
Bangalore , May 13 UPS Jetair Express Pvt Ltd, a joint venture between the package delivery company UPS and Jetair, announced on Thursday its technology-based offerings for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The tools UPS TradeAbility and Quantum View Manage enable SMEs to access a host of information online to extend their global reach. With the quota regime having been dispensed with, global trade has become much easier. Yet, SMEs are at a disadvantage because of the lack of accessibility of the changing regulations and inadequate knowledge about cost estimates for exports and imports. With a ready-to-access online facility , businesses can extend their market reach and improve their efficiencies and export earnings. TradeAbility helps the industry in identifying harmonised tariff codes, generate landed cost estimates and locate up-to-date information, said Mr Thomas Mathew, Managing Director of UPS Jetair Express Pvt Ltd. Quantum View Manage has been enhanced to provide US importers access to their UPS customs brokerage data and clearance document images and new means to facilitate customs clearance and compliance.
