New Delhi , June 23

HYUNDAI Motor India is learnt to have responded to the legal notice sent to it by Maruti Udyog last week. Maruti, in its notice, had said that Hyundai's advertising brochure `Xing ahead of the Swift' had presented the Maruti Swift in poor light, and that a number of factual errors existed in the comparison that Hyundai had compiled between the two cars.

A Maruti spokesperson confirmed the receipt of the response, adding that the company was studying its contents.

According to industry sources, Hyundai, in its response, has said that it would be temporarily withdrawing its advertising brochure.
