NDTV reports drop in Q1 net

THE Prannoy Roy-promoted NDTV has recorded a dip in net profits for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 which fell from Rs 7.63 crore to just Rs 86 lakh.

However,revenues increased marginally from Rs 40.53 crore registered during the first quarter of last year to Rs 41.55 crore during the same period this fiscal.

The company had seen an increase in expenditure from Rs 27.96 crore to Rs 37.28 crore. This has mainly been attributed to an increase in expenditure on personnel.
