Environment Coca-Cola studying Kerala PCB order to close Plachimada unit Our Bureau
Thiruvananthapuram , Aug. 20 COCA-COLA has said that it is reviewing the directive issued on Friday by the Kerala State Pollution Control Board, ordering the closure of the company's unit at Plachimada in the State's Palakkad district. According to a press note issued by the company, it is considering the implications of the order and is evaluating future steps, including a judicial review. In its closure notice, the Kerala State Pollution Control Board has cited several reasons for its decision to order Coca-Cola to suspend operations of its Plachimada unit.
