Infotech opens design centre for Alstom Transport

Hyderabad , Sept. 27

INFOTECH Enterprises Ltd today inaugurated its second design facility in Bangalore, which will exclusively work for Alstom Transport.

The centre was inaugurated by Dr Jat Taufiq, Product Development Director, Rolling Stock Engineering, Alstom Transport. This deal is expected to generate revenues of around $50-55 million over five years. The company plans to open Paris centre to target the market out there.

The 8,000 sq.ft facility located at Koramangala, Bangalore, can house 200 personnel.

Infotech recently signed a five-year agreement at Paris with Alstom Transport to provide EDA (engineering design and analysis), technical publication, embedded and engineering software development services.

The Chairman and Managing Director of Infotech, Mr B.V.R. Mohan Reddy, in a statement said, "Infotech is privileged to enter into this agreement with Alstom Transport. By winning this contract, Infotech has established its pre-eminent positioning in providing technology-related engineering services to transportation industry worldwide. Alstom will benefit from our value-driven services."

Dr Jat Taufiq said, "Our partnership represents a strategic shift in the manner in which we become more competitive worldwide."

Infotech has a facility in Bangalore with a capacity of 200 personnel. The second facility enables Infotech to have 400 engineers in Bangalore.
