Trends Cos must adapt to global market demands: TCS official Our Bureau
Bangalore , Oct 20 NON-profit organisation Asian Centre for Corporate Governance and the Bangalore Chamber of Industry & Commerce (BCIC) has convened the Director's Power Breakfast Series. This is a platform for top management and board members to share their experiences and exchange views. The guest speaker for the session, Mr S. Mahalingam, CFO, Tata Consultancy Services, spoke on `Managing growth in high technology companies'. Mr Mahalingam said, "Time has changed phenomenally in India since late 60s; the growth of an organisation is dependent on its ability to adapt to the growing demands of the markets across the globe. A conscious effort has to be made to move up the value chain even if it means a major organisational restructuring." Mr Anant R. Koppar, President, BCIC, said, "Managers must keep in mind that growth in itself is not synonymous with shareholder value; as such value comes from profits and not from increase in revenues."
