The Hindu Young World painting contest

HYDERABAD: The Hindu Young World painting competition for school students will be held on November 6. Mr Shisir Sahna, noted artist, will be the judge and hand over the prizes. The finals of the event, to be held at the Institution of Engineers here, would feature 200 participants, each from the seniors and juniors categories. These have been shortlisted from over 1,200 entries.

Being held for the past 13 years, the response is not limited to Hyderabad. Entries from Kurnool, Warangal, Khammam, Kadapa, Chittoor, Adilabad, Gulbarga, Bidar and Raichur from Karnataka were also received.

The first three winners will get Rs 1,250; Rs 1,000; and Rs 750 respectively. A consolation prize of Rs 200 in each category and participation certificates would also be given.
