ONGC contributes Rs 40 lakh for bridge in East Godavari

OIL and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC) has contributed Rs 40 lakh towards bridge construction on Panchanadi drain at Odalarevu in East Godavari district.
Mr A.A. Khan, Asset Manager of ONGC's Rajahmundry Asset, handed over the cheque to Mr S. Kadalayya, RDO, Amalapuram, according to a press release from the corporation.
With this, the small village of Odalarevu will be getting a facelift.
This interior village will now be connected to the main area of Amalapuram, which will help the general public, students, fishermen and farmers.
Since March 3, 2004, ONGC has spent around Rs 18.20 crore for the construction of new roads and bridges that stretches to around 190 km and Rs 21.14 crore for the improvement of the same, which comes to around 740 km as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Khan, said once gas and oil from G1 & GS-15 come to this place, Odalarevu would be on the golden map of hydrocarbon in India.
